Description

The greatest of the Milky Way's star clusters this enormous ball hovers about 17,000 ly from Earth.  The stars are on average half as far away from each other as they are in the Milky Way and as close as 0.1 ly separation near the core.  A planet orbiting a star in Omega Centauri would see one hell of a night sky!
